Most leadership gaps aren’t skill gaps — they’re emotional gaps.
And we’re already paying the price.

When I look at the future core skills for 2030 by World Economic Forum Report 2025, I feel a real sense of urgency.
Not only from reports — but from what I’ve consistently seen while working with leaders.

What I’ve learned through EQ-i® 2.0 assessments by Multi-Health Systems Inc. (MHS) and through International Coaching Federation coaching competencies tells me one thing very clearly:
👉 If we wait, we fall behind.

There’s a simple but powerful truth about sustainable leadership, shared by Dr. John Gray:

IQ + EQ + Talent = Sustainable leadership
IQ and talent absolutely matter.
But EQ determines how well leaders use both – especially under pressure and in their relationships with people.

I also still remember my EQ trainer, Dr Relly Nadler, Psy.D., MCC, saying:
“Emotional intelligence is the key to both personal and professional success.”
And the more I work with leaders, the truer this feels.

I believe the future leader MUST lead with Emotional Intelligence.
Not as a soft skill.
Not as a trend.
But as a real business requirement — especially in stressful, high-pressure environments.

By 2030:
 • Pressure ↑
 • AI ↑
 • Complexity ↑
 • Human leadership is still essential

What will truly differentiate leaders:
 ✔ staying grounded under pressure
✔ building trust and psychological safety
✔ making sound judgments in complexity
✔ leading humans — not just systems

This matters across many sectors in my opinion.

t’s no longer optional.
EI isn’t soft.
It’s strength.
It’s leadership readiness for the future

Question: Which emotional capability do you see leaders struggling with most today: self-control, empathy, or decision-making under pressure?
